Program Philosophy & Purpose
Saint Francis Adult Day Health Program is dedicated to providing a service, which enables elders and impaired adults to remain in the community, for as long as feasible. The purpose of Saint Francis Adult Day Health Program shall be:
Our Adult Day Health Program provides a safe, supportive environment for frail or functionally impaired older adults who may otherwise not be able to be left safely at home alone. Additionally, we provide support, respite and education to caregivers (including education on Alzheimer’s care and/or related dementia). The program is designed to promote and enhance the social, physical and cognitive skills of participants. To gain meaning from our program participants are offered opportunities to:
Our Adult Day Health Program helps families to manage the responsibility of caring for an elderly or frail adult who is living at home. We provide medical care and supervision for elderly persons and disabled adults over the age of 18 who are unable to remain at home unattended during the course of the working day. We enable family members to continue working by providing respite for caregivers.
The Saint Francis Adult Day Health program provides family members with peace of mind knowing their loved one is receiving exceptional care. Participation in our Adult Day Health program allows the individual to enjoy companionship and care while his/her family attends to their daily commitments without worry.
Each and every individual who enters the plan is treated like a member of our family. Our nurses work with the individual's private physician to develop a personalized treatment plan, ensuring that we give the best possible care and attention to the individual's special needs.
Our comprehensive program encourages participants to engage in a variety of activities that provide both physical and mental stimulation, such as:

“Big enough to help you, small enough to care.”
Saint Francis Adult Day Health opened in 1978 to provide an alternative to nursing home placement for elderly and disabled adults living in the community. We work in conjunction with services in the community to help people remain in their homes longer. We provide respite to family members and give piece of mind to working caregivers.
We offer a caregiver support group monthly which is open to the public. It is held on the second Tuesday night of the month from 6:30-8:00PM.
You do a great job helping your loved one. What have you done for yourself lately?
